theres noone names that Vanitas is created when Master Xehanort removes the darkness from Ventus's heart. The darkness becomes a being named Vanitus. As a side effect, the Unversed are created as Vanitus's feelings and emotions made real.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Ventus dies killing Vanitus. You see, Vanitus is the evil that resided in Ventus heart. When they fight at the end of the game, Ventus gives his life to slay Vanitus permenantly. Once this happens the, remnants of Ventus heart go into Soras heart, and this is what allows our young friend to wield the keyblade. Not to mention the fact that the remains of Ventus, make Roxas. A nobody that seemingly has a heart

I think you might be reffering to Vanitus, who is Master Xehanort's apprentice in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep......i'm actually not sure WHO he is exactly but, he looks JUST LIKE SORA, but yellow eyes and black hair. Or you might be tallking about when sora turns into a heartless in Kingdom Hearts 1, just after defeating the evil riku, and sacrificing your heart to save kairi's, then in that case, you are called Shadow. so either Vanitus, or Shadow, a common heartless.
Why does Vanitas look like Sora?
Because Vanitas is Sora's Unversed. I don't know HOW, but all I know is that Sora, Ventus, Vanitas, and Roxas are all connected in some way. Cause Vanitas looks like A black haired, gold eyes, version of Sora, and Roxas a second version of Ventus. Well, It's THAT or the guy who voiced Japanese Vanitas wanted him to look like Sora cause he wanted to play as a bad guy. I do know that's true. But it could be both. So we really won't know until we get the game in English. Yeah... But why does Vanitas' suit looks like Heartless Riku in KH 1? i think that vanitas looks like sora because in the begining ventus's heart was shattered and sora fixed it by connecting their hearts. so because sora had a bigger part of the shared heart vanitas looks like him instead of ventus. vanitas looks like sora because when ventus defeated vanitus they became one but ven hd control so when he merged with sora that's why sora looks like he does and also vanitus has rikus armor because they were both controlled by master xehnort and that's the armor they get but vanitus was more powerful because his power was decreased because he didnt take ove terras body yet... i know a little confusing

The three characters are Aqua, Terra and Ventus. Ventus is the youngest, and by the time Aqua and Terra take their test, he is unable to take it with them.The game starts with Aqua and Terra taking their Mark of Mastery, supervised by Master Eraqus, their teacher for wielding the keyblade. He invites Master Xehanort, another master keyblade wielder who once trained alongside Eraqus in their generation. As the test starts, everything is going fine. Beginning... A long time ago, there was a keyblade war between the forces of light and dark. It was believed that the war was fight in order to create the X-Blade, a weapon only created when a force of darkness crosses an equal force of light. Later... Master Xehanort, a keyblade Master, apprenticed a young keyblade wielder named Ventus (Ven). Master Xehanort had an ambition to control the powers of Darkness and thought that, upon obtaining the X-Blade, he could do so. Master Xehanort thought that Ventus, because he was a being of light, would be able to (involuntarily) assist him with achieving his plan. Eventually, Master Xehanort extracted a dark enitity from Ventus, which was named Vanitus, in hopes that the two of them could "create" the X-Blade. Unfortunately, Ventus's memories were erased, so Master Xehanort "dropped him off" with Master Eraqus, the keyblade master who teaches both Terra and Aqua.
Is Roxas the same as Ventus?
Yes.In KHBBS (Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep) Ventus, at the end, goes into a deep sleep. I think that Ventus's roaming heart went and Roxas's heart came and kinda replaced his heart and went into the body. There are minor differences like the way they hold keyblades but his clothing is a different issue. The was Roxas's clothing is completely white and Ventus's is half white, half black. Maybe Roxas's clothing represents that Vanitus was gone (A.K.A- The Black represents the Darkness) forever. Finally, Roxas's 2 key blades, one of them he occasionally holds back hand (like Ventus) and the other one sword style. This part, written by ________ wrote as a spoiler, The reason that Roxas looks so much like Ventus is because when Ventus destroyed Vanitas, his heart was no longer complete. Ventus was put inside of Sora's heart in the meantime. When Sora vanquished his heart, many years later, Roxas was created as a Nobody, but as an exact replica of Ventus. This much is true.
