Witold Rybczynski is a Canadian-American writer, professor and architect, and was born March 1, 1943 in Edinburgh, Scotland. After receiving a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture degree from McGill University, Rybczynski went on to write articles and papers on architecture, housing and technology, many of which earned sizable followers. Currently, he writes as an architecture critic for the magazine Slate. In addition, he is also currently serving on the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts.
