Biblical tradition says Moses led the Israelites up to the border of Canaan, but that he never entered the Promised Land, which was conquered by his successor, Joshua.
Historians take a different view, saying that, on all the evidence, there was no biblical Exodus from Egypt and certainly no conquest of the Canaanites. They say that the Israelites were actually rural Canaanite people who left the region of the rich coastal cities to settle peacefully in the hitherto sparsely populated hinterland.
Moses led the Israelites up to the border of Canaan (Joshua ch.1), and Joshua led them into the land (Joshua ch.3-4).
Moses helped the Israelites conquer Canaan by securing God's promise to be with them (Exodus 33:1-16) and by ensuring that they would have a leader after his (Moses') death (Numbers 27:12-23).
Joshua helped the Israelites conquer Canaan by leading and guiding them as they did the conquering. He also received God's direct assistance after he prayed for that (Joshua ch.10).

They moved because the wasn't enough water for them to survive. They moved so they could be near the Nile river. The Nile river supplied them with enough water for the Israelites, also in the book of exodus.
The Israelites brought their Torah wherever they went, including into Canaan (under Joshua), which they renamed the Land of Israel.
The Book of Joshua talks of the conquest of the land of the Canaanites by the Israelites under the leadership of Joshua. The Book of Judges contains a fragmentary account of the conquest of the same cities by the tribe of Judah under the leadership of Caleb, because the Lord said that the people of Judah would conquer the Canaanites. There seem to have been two early traditions about the conquest of Canaan, the Joshua one passed on in the northern kingdom of Israel and the Caleb one passed on in the southern kingdom of Judah. Probably only a small part of the Judahite tradition has been preserved.
True! <3 (:
he conquer israel of 7o years captivity under the leadership of king zedekiah
when you read the books of Moses you see the Israelites began to conquer the land of Canaan with Joshua leading them after Moses dies. The Israelites where commanded by GOD to kill all the inhabitants of Canaan but the Israelites did not do what GOD commanded them as staet in Judges 2:1-5.So GOD told them that the heathens in Canaan would be a thorn in there side. After Joshua dies the Israelites set up Judges which where kinda like governors. Israel then began to worship the gods of the heathen that where in Canaan.GOD being mad with Israel puts them in slavery under a wicked king in Mesopotamia, and the moabites. Then God sends them a person to save them out of slavery. this process of repenting and worshiping other gods goes on until Israel set up their first second king "King David".

It wasn't a kingdom until the time of King Saul. In any case, the answer is Joshua. Please note that according to Torah-chronology the conquest of Joshua took place in 1272 to 1265 BCE, not earlier. And one last point: it was called Canaan, not Palestine.
King Saul, under the guidance of the prophet Samuel. See 1 Samuel ch.8-10.
