Yes, many boats are made from aluminum.
Most modern speed boats are made out of fiberglass, however in the past they have been made out of wood. Boats such as canoes are also made out of plastic and aluminum. Large ships are made out of steel.
what year was sears roebuck model 61009 17 ft aluminum canoe manufactured
USN ships of WWII were built of steel; USN PT Boats were built of WOOD. USN ships of WWII also fought in the Vietnam War; USN Swift Boats during the Vietnam War were built of ALUMINUM.
I worked for Sears back in the mid 80s, like from 1984-1989 and they sold boats back then. I recall because i worked in the warehouse, they would order these in as they were purchased for the customer-they wouldn't keep them in stock. One day while unloading a truck one fell on me! Didnt hurt bad or anything-just one of those odd things that you remember for all your life.
I would also like to find information on this particular brand of boat.
