Montgomery Ward Model 30 aka stream liner was made by National Sewing Machine company from 1949 to about 1953 or so. It is a rotary machine with automatic tension. It does have reverse. Straight stitch only... a download of the manual can be downloaded free at Double Veil....it takes a while to show up so be patient.
The Montgomery Ward 7 Jewel Automatic Zig Zag model URR988 Sewing Machine was made in 1943-1947
This unit was made in 1883 by the smith and Wesson oil Company in Tokyo Japan.
I purchased my machine in the early to mid 80's. It worked great for many years. Now, the reverse button is not working, so I can no longer use the machine.
Most appliance companies will mail you a hard copy for a small charge or the PDF file via email.
Happy Lock was sold at Montgomery Ward and made in Taiwan.
Montgomery Ward was created in 2004.
Montgomery Ward ended in 2001.
I threw my cabinet out. It was junk! I got mine for FREE from a garage sale. There were no accessories. If yours has those and runs well someone might be willing to pay $25 maybe $50. Look on your local Craigslist to see what vintage machines are listed for. Keep in mind what people are asking is not necessary what they are getting. I just bought a Japan made White with solid cabinet for $12. She was asking $20. There were no accessories but it does work!
