Who made the electric drill?

Electric drills are made by electrical and mechanical engineers working together.

Electric drills are a refinement of earlier drills turned by hand power, water power or steam. Once the electric motor was developed this technology was applier to drills.

The invention of the electric drill in general is attributed to Arthur James Arnot and William Blanch Brain in 1889, at Melbourne, Australia. The portable electric hand drill is general credited to Wilhelm Fein in 1895, at Stuttgart, Germany.

Fein electric hand tools are still world famous.
