Made by Heym in Germay in the 1970's. Mauser type action.
I can supply half the answer (the easy half) Mossberg made this firearm as with most Western Field firearms. It was the Mossberg model 800A and was made from 1967-1972.
175-250 dollars.
This is a Stevens Model 94 shot gun. you can date it by mesuring the extractor and it will either be .433 inches at the top or .308 the .433 is older from 1950 down. and .308 is 1950 till disc. also all guns were required to have serial numbers after the 60's i believe so that would guve you a better idea. the value is around 100 bucks in great shape.
I have looked just about every where with no results except for finding a good comparison-The Heym Magnum Express. They are the same exact rifle, except for trigger and caliber. The Magnum is listing for around $5750.00. I beleive that you have a mossberg model 800 which was made for Montgomery Wards(Western Field).this was chambered in .308 win.and had a 22in barrel, bolt action, checkered pistol grip stock. This was made in 1967 and discontinued in the year 1970.The current value of these rifles is between 150-275 dollars depending on overall condition and a good bore.
$200-400 depending condition
mossberg for western auto
I have one of the Western Field 38 and after some searching on the internet I found a sight with OLD mossberg catalogs on it. http://home.epix.net/~damguy/catalog.htm it looks like mine is a Mossberg Model 35 with No.3 Peep Sight and and the mulit post ramp sight. I think the No.3 peep was a lower cost option than the micro-click. Mossberg did in fact make that rifle for Montgomery Wards.
100-450 or so
The Revelation .308 was sold by Western Auto in the 1970's. It has 8 grooves and a 16" twist on the bolt action model. I am not sure who the manufacturer was; but Western Auto is still in business and perhaps they would know.
