The simplest and most reliable source is your local Toyota dealer. If you have a Generation I Solara keys are sold on E-Bay. Gen II ('04 to present) have a security chip inside so need to be programmed and don't appear to be available online, at least following a cursory search. Cheers,

Toyota produced Solara convertibles beginning in 2000. There were two generations of Solara. Generation 1 (and 1.5) was produced from 1998 (first sold as a 1999 model) to 2003. Generation 2 (and 2.5) were produced from 2004 through 2008. The Generation 1 convertible was essentially a couple that the top had been removed from and a droptop installed. Many drivers dubbed it the 'flexible flyer' because the frame twisted and wiggled (and rattled) so badly. The Generation II convertible was designed from a clean sheet of paper to be rigid without a hard top. The windshield frame is thicker than the couple as are the doorsills and other parts. The convertible has a roll-bar hidden in the back seat that makes use of the headrests. If you're looking to buy a convertible, get the Gen II. Cheers
This is usually caused by moisture in the air.

Rear seat removal is pretty much the same for most cars. Lift the front of the seat straight up. Once any clips have cleared pull the seat forward (toward the front of the vehicle) and lift it out. Having a convertible makes the job much easier. Seat back removal can be a little tougher but usually involves loosening bolts at the lower end (hidden by the seat cushion) then lifting up and out. If the above doesn't work for you download a factory service manual from Toyota. It's only about $10 (for 24 hours of download time) giving you easy access not only to the service manual but any factory authorized repairs for your car. Cheers
Your clutch is starting to fail. Its possibly a thrown spring. Spec makes great OEM replacement and performance clutches, for a reasonable price. Your clutch is starting to fail. Its possibly a thrown spring. Spec makes great OEM replacement and performance clutches, for a reasonable price.

Solenoid or battery *Check the alternator as well. When my Camry did that, the battery and alternator both needed replacement. -andey78
