Champion Laboratories makes this filter for Wal-Mart. They make a variety of oil filters for a variety of brand names and even though Super Tech is Wal Mart's value line this is one of Champion Laboratories' best quality filters.

Valucraft may be of diffent makes, but the one I have used is a Champion Labs "Ecore" design. This is the same as Supertech, STP, and AC/Delco. They are OK. Better filters out there though.
See "Bob is the Oil Guy" web site. There are several web sites that have extensive reports on oil filters including who makes what.WalMart probably rebids their oil filter periodically, so the manufacturer may well change from time to time.
It depends on the model filter. Most are made by Purolator but some are made by Champion Labs. Unless you are doing a accurate restoration of a Chrysler vehicle I would not buy a Mopar filter. Purchase a Purolator, Wix, or Bosch as they are quality filters unlike Champion which you may get if you buy a Mopar.
Firestone makes Champion tires.
Right now, a company called Champion Labs makes them (not connected to Champion spark plugs). However, this could change in the future. Champion Labs makes 2 different filter designs: E-core, which is lower quality than their previous designs, (sold as Wal-Mart Supertech filters, new AC Delco, Car and Driver, Champ, Deutsch, STP) Performance, which is a good filter design: (sold as K&N, Mobil 1) The best oil filters that are still easy to find and affordable are: Wix (also sold as Carquest, NAPA gold) Purolator (also sold as Bosch, Motorcraft, Powerflo, Proline)
WIX makes all of NAPA's oil filters
