Pittsburgh Tools is just a brand owned by Harbor Freight. Harbor Freight imports cheap junk tools from China and then labels them as Pittsburgh Tools brand when they land on American soil.
Snap-On makes a vast majority of their own tools. Their Blue Point sub brand is the one which is outsourced to other manufacturers.
Stanley makes excellent tools of all types.
GEDORE Personally, I'd pit most Snap-On hand tools against any other brand, any day. Mac makes some excellent hand tools, as well.
Right now it is German Based Dolmar Makita owns Dolmar so i dont see anything chaging.
I believe that is Great Neck, and they are made in China now ( NOT this mechanic's choice)
Craftsman pressure washers are made by the brand Craftsman. Craftsman makes a wide variety of tools and home improvement projects.
Danaher Manufacturing. They also make Kobalt tools (Lowes), MAC, and Gearwrench, and several others
Harbor Freight Tools
Kobalt tools are currently manufactured by Danaher (June 2009). Kobalt is Lowe's in-house brand of mechanic's tools. Danaher's other brands of mechanics tools include K-D Tools, Matco Tools, Gearwrench, and Craftsman (to name a few, there are more!). Kobalt used to me mfg by Snap-On; not any more!
Various places. Cobalt is a marketing brand, not a manufacturing brand. The tools are made by various contractors throughout the world.
