Just checked their website and it seems most of there larger engines (riding tractors, snow-throwers) are Briggs & Stratton. That doesn't mean some smaller or older models aren't equipped with Tecumseh or even Kohler engines. Personally, I trust all these names and believe any well-serviced, American-designed, small engine should last you years without problems.
Honda makes all their own engines.

Ford still makes Aston engines, but their contract is almost done, then they will stop because Ford is losing money by making engines for Aston.
