Originally Benjamin, Sheridan and Crosman were three different air gun manufactures. Benjamin started operation around 1899.
In 1923 Crosman started into operation.
Around 1945 Sheridan went into operation.
In 1977 Benjamin bought Sheridan.
In 1992 Crosman bought both companies but continued to keep the same names in production. All Benjamin's are either .177 or .22 Caliber and Sheridan's are .20 Caliber.
Sheridan's and Benjamin's both have the same look and feel. It is easy to confuse them.

The model 3100 & 3200 were manufactured between 1958-85. The 3100 is a BB pump rifle.
T427432 was made in 1982.
The first Benjamin model was the "St Louis model" made in 1899.
