Only Christianity has the trinity as far as I know. Up to the fourth century AD there was no general agreement on whether Jesus was literally the son of God or that he actually had a human father. At the Council of Nicea in about 400 AD, the bishops decided to put an end to the argument and made it policy that everyone was to believe that Jesus was not a real human, but was divine, and that there was also a spirit which was God in a form which could be active in the affairs of people.
Our current understanding of genetics makes the divine Jesus hard to believe. If Jesus's mother was truly virginal, then Jesus would have to be a clone of hers, but that would have made Jesus a lady.
It's all too hard. It's best just to believe in the Trinity and stop asking awkward questions. Socrates was executed for doing just that, and he lived long before Jesus.
There are various religions which feature confessions. For example, there is Catholicism, in which people are encouraged to confess their sins.
The trinity is represented in most religions in one way or another.
