They say it is MFGD but i cannot find it on the New York stock exchange or Toronto stock exchange. I think they are misleading people.
Crown shotguns were manufactured in Belgium. I have read that some of them had Damascus steel barrels, so DO NOT fire modern shotgun ammunition in it.

Light Optical Works, Ltd. Suwa City, Japan--LOW--mfgd the scopesOn Western Field scopes, LOW has a stylized logo on the scope whichspells Light, eg L igh T with the horizontal parts of the letters L and the T touching and forming a box around the igh and SUWA printed below in the box, with ELT (Enhanced Light Transmission) and Japan written outside the box. Light Optical made Bushnell and others....may have made the Western Field scope directly for Montgomery Wards.
Hi......45-70 is a caliber of the cartridge for this gun, not the model. Look on the metal tang just behind the hammer. It should be stamped with the model of the rifle. This caliber leads me to believe it's a model 1886. If that's the case then a model "86" s/n 106804 was mfgd. in 1896....it's value is directly determined by it configuration, whether or not it has any special features, and condition, condition condition. To say it's 95% is not sufficient to evaluate it. If you can email any pics I can provide a pretty good estimate of value for you...my email address is: martinphoto1@verizon.net Regards....Marty
