The twin brothers reached a compromise and decided to settle in a location that satisfied both of their preferences.
Romulus did. If not Rome would be Reme.
because they did
Presumably you refer to the two legends related to the foundation of Rome. They are the legend of Romulus and Remus and the legend of Aeneas. Romulus and Remus decided to found a new city. They had an argument about which of two neighbouring hills to pick. Romulus wanted the foundation to be on the Palatine Hill and Remus wanted it to be on the Aventine Hill. Romulus won the dispute and built a sacred wall around the Palatine. An angry Remus violated the wall and Romulus killed him. Romulus was the founder of Rome. Aeneas was a survivor of the Trojan War. He landed in Latium (land of the Latins) and founded the Latin city of Lavinium. His son, Ascanius, founded the Latin city of Alba Longa and its royal dynasty. The Romans claimed that they descended for the Trojans. Romulus and Remus were the sons of Silvia Rhea, the daughter of the deposed king of Alba Longa. This bridged the 400 year gap between the date of the Trojan War and the date of the foundation of Rome.
Rome was said to have been named after Romulus, who, with his twin brother Remus, founded the original city of Rome. One version of the legend has Romulus slaying Remus when he disparaged his attempts to build a wall around the city. Another version had them argue over who had the support of the gods; Romulus won and killed his brother.
ROMULUS
The twin brothers reached a compromise and decided to settle in a location that satisfied both of their preferences.
According to Roman mythology, the founders of Rome are Romulus and Remus. They were twin brothers raised by a she-wolf and went on to establish the city of Rome. Romulus eventually killed Remus and became the first king of Rome.

Remus, he lost the battle and Romulus won. the empire he created was named in his honor (Rome)
Unfortunately, Remus didn't live long enough to see the city. There was an argument between the two brothers about where to build the new city, and at some point, Romulus killed Remus and then built Rome. Many of the legends that exist do not agree on when Remus was murdered, but they do agree that Romulus was his murderer and built Rome after his brother's death. Also, according to legend, Romulus won the right to have the city named for him by having a larger number of vultures follow him to his preferred city location on Palatine Hill. No, it's an adjective. "Her persuasive argument won me over."
