Not alot of people opposed Hitler in Germany , if they did oppose him and spoke out about it , they would be killed. If you lived in Germany at the time Hitler ruled , you had to follow him or death was next for you. So many people did start to folow him and be his servants. Others that opposed kept it to them selves , but deep down inside many people hated Hitler

In Britain key opponents of appeasement included: * Winston Churchill - well known enough. * (Alfred) Duff Cooper - spoke German extremely well, visited Germany in the summer of 1933, kept his eyes and ears open and drew the obvious conclusions. Caused a furore in September 1933 by publicly calling for speedy and massive rearmament in Britain. * Brendan Bracken - later became Churchill's PPS, then Minister of Information. * Harold Macmillan - Prime Minister, 1957-1963. * Anthony Eden - Prime Minister, 1955-1957. * Leo Amery - a somewhat late recruit to the anti-appeasement cause, but a very effective speaker in the House of Commons. Well known for calling across the House of Commons to Labour on 2 September 1939, 'Go on, Greenwood! Speak for England!' - implying that the Prime Minister couldn't be relied on to do so. Later, in May 1940, made a devastating attack on Chamberlain ... * Stafford Cripps (Labour left-winger who campaigned for a vast 'popular front' including the anti-appeasement Conservatives). In addition, the Labour Party was opposed to Nazism and Fascism, but many members of the party were very committed to pacifism ... It's no use wanting the end while opposing the means.

His main opponents were the Social Democrats and the Communists. They opposed him because their ideology was completely opposite to his; they were left wing, and he was right wing.

Basically everyone except Italy, Japan, and most Germans. Everyone else though, despised Adolf Hitler.
