Oliver Cromwell banned all Christmas activities
He was a good man and bad at the same time. In some ways he was good because when he had portrait painted he wanted it to be exactly like him "warts and all", this tells me he could be an honest man. There are many different opinions on Oliver Cromwell, some people thought he believed in giving people greater freedom. However others said he crushed anyone who disagreed with him!hope this helps ;)
He didnt just banned food he banned Christmas all together. Type in the box:- Why did oliver cromwell banned Christmas for more information.

Assuming this refers to The English Civil War, and Oliver Cromwell - no-one was "covered in warts."Oliver Cromwell, when having a portrait painted, famously instructed the artist to depict him "warts and all," meaning he did not want the portrait to be unrealistically flattering. He had no more warts than anyone else.

So where is the greed in that?" Hope these helped this question was part of my history homework which was Oliver Cromwell- Hero or Villain? :)
