Mark Antony participated in the Feast of Lupercali's foot race where he ran with reins in his hand touching the walls of the city.
He set out to be that, knowing that if people remembered you, you lived on in their memories as opposed to being consigned to the uderworld. A revolting animal like Achilles lived on because he was sung about by the bards, and Alexander wanted to be greater than Achilles. Julius Caesar set out to be greater then Alexander and succeeded so much that he won the race - the king of Germany called himself Kaiser (Caesar) and so did the Czar (Caesar) of Russia.

Mark Antony, well known as an athlete (he ran in the Lupercal race you know), which makes him an athletic supporter. Crassus was allied with Caesar in the civil war with Pompey.
Caesar asks Antony to strike Calpurnia during the foot race of the Lupercalia celebration because it was believed that being touched by a whip during the race could enhance fertility. Calpurnia allowed it in the hope of bearing children as she was barren.
He was an Italian Caucasian.
You need to know the context here. Mark Antony is about to run in the traditional race to celebrate the Lupercal. The race course runs through the streets among crowds of people, especially women. Caesar says to Antony, "The barren, touched in this holy chase, Shake off their sterile curse." "Barren" means those who are unable to conceive or have trouble conceiving. Being barren is the "sterile curse" he is talking about. The superstition is that if a woman is touched by one of the runners in the race, the "holy chase", she will be more likely to have babies. Caesar would like his wife Calpurnia to have a baby and so encourages Antony to touch her.
