The Hypnotist was voiced by producer Terry Brown.
He later tried suing Dream Theater for using his voice on their subsequent album tour, although he knew full well they would be using it extensively (as it was used in many songs on the album) on the tour. Dream Theater eventually had to pay him an undisclosed amount to end the lawsuit, and they have stated that they will never work with him again, nor are they encouraging anyone else to work with him ever again.
