John the Baptizer faithfully introduced his disciples to Jesus, also calling him "the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world." (John 1:29)
No Islam does not believe that Jesus is messiah they believe that there is no messiah. They also believe that works get you to go to live with God (in Arabic Allah) in heaven. I for one believe that Jesus is messiah that he is the only way to get into heaven and that you have to believe that he died on the cross for our sins so that we might be saved.
The true people of God are those that place their faith and trust in the Messiah, Jesus Christ. The Old Testament believers were saved by faith (Hebrews 11) in the anticipated coming Messiah. After the advent of Jesus Christ, all who receive Him by faith are made children of God.
Jesus "The Messiah" is God in human form. He came to save the world from our sins, which separated us from God.
In the Bible it says that that Jesus is God. He is three in one. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. So, yes he is the Messiah and Jesus is God!
Because Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, the holy one of God, and this is in his name, Lord Jesus Christ.
Jewish people believe that Jesus was a prophet, not the Messiah, and not the Son of God. They believe that the Messiah is still to come.
Peter declared that jesus was the son of god the Messiah.
The disciples viewed Jesus as the Messiah; the son of God.
In heaven, Jesus is known as the Son of God or the Messiah.
The Romans did not think that Jesus was the Messiah or the son of God. They had to many of their own Gods and goddesses to worship.
People are saved if they trust God for salvation. This holds true regardless of the time they lived. In pre-Jesus time people were saved through their faith in the sacrifices God commanded of them. In so doing, they were looking forward in time to the Messiah who would be the ultimate sacrifice for sin. In post-Jesus time people are saved by trusting in Christ's sacrifice 2000 years ago. Past or present, salvation comes through faith in the provision by God of His prescribed sacrifice.
The Jews were never forced to recognise that Jesus was the Messiah. Even though their own prophets prophesied this, only a few, like the disciples believed it. But there will be a time in the end of the age, a time known only to God, where all Israel shall be saved and recognise Jesus as the Messiah.' ('Romans 11.25-27)
