Georges Lemaitre
Georges Lemaitre proposed the Big bang in 1927.
George Lemaître proposed the idea of an expanding universe, suggesting that the universe is continuously growing and evolving. He also proposed the concept of the "primeval atom," which eventually led to the theory of the Big Bang.
Georges Lemaitre proposed a concept which later, became popularised as 'The Big Bang Theory'
he proposed the big bang theory.
Jesuit priest George LeMaitre, in 1927, first proposed the idea that became known as the Big Bang. Einstein at first ridiculed the idea, but later accepted it after Edwin Hubble showed that distances between galaxies were, indeed, growing. George Gamow later developed Big Bang Cosmology, predicting (in 1946) a microwave background.
Jesuit priest George LeMaitre first proposed the idea that our Universe is expanding over time. Edwin Hubble provided the first astronomical evidence that LeMaitre was correct.

The history of the Big Bang theory began with the Big Bang's development from observations and theoretical considerations. Much of the theoretical work in cosmology now involves extensions and refinements to the basic Big Bang model.
In 1927, Jesuit priest Georges LeMaitre first proposed the idea of an expanding Universe as both (1) a solution of the equations of general relaitivity that actually described our Universe and (2) and explanation of red shift in nebulae. He continued to revise his ideas, and by 1931 they basically could be described as the Big Bang Hypothesis.
"Lenny, Penny, and Kenny" was the proposed title for the show that became The Big Bang Theory.
No. The "Big Bang" hypothesis of the origin of the Universe developed in the 1930's and was widely ridiculed until about 1965 or so. In fact, the name "big bang" was coined by Sir Fred Hoyle, a British astronomer who intended to mock the idea.
