When she awoke from her coma she got a text from "A" (Mona) but it wasn't from A's phone, it was from Mona's. Then Mona lead Spencer to believe that her sister, Melissa killed Ali. Then they were supposed to go to the police station, but Mona drove them into the woods. Mona and Spencer got into a fight and Mona falls off the cliff. The real Ali becomes "A" after Mona dies. When the Real Ali come back to town she pretends to be Courtney, then eventually she tells them she's the Real Ali.
