The largest individual contributor to the American revolution was a man w/the last name of Pollock. He lived in New Orleans in a home that still stands in the French Quarter in the 500 block of Chartes St.

The home was incorporated into a historic mansion built in the early 1700's for Francois Siegnoret, and extended an entire block from Chartes St. to the 500 block of Royal St. Royal St. is known as one ofthe most famous streets in the world for purchasing fine antiques and Francois Siegnoret started it all by building this home from which he spld his family's wine from Bordeaux region of France and his antiques which are highly prized wood carved pieces.

A Francois Siegnoret antique is one of the most sought after pieces for collectors of New Orleans or Louisiana plantation furniture/antiques. He often incorporated a sublte S shape in his hand carved patterns with wood pegs

Getting back on track, Pollock's former home in New Orleans was once part of the NBC affiliate- WDSU-TV's studios and after the televsion station moved, a suspicious fire broke out and burned the asbesotos filled former tv studios and is now a car parking lot.

so much so that the Historic Collections of New Orleans bought the home.

Mostly the French, actually. We entered into a secret treaty with them, and they supplied money, arms, and ships; they were more than eager to attack the British in any way they could.
