Actually, Kush conquered Egypt and ruled as Pharaohs for almost a century. In 656 BC, Psamtik I drove the Kush out of Egypt, to reunite northern and southern Egypt.
The Kush did not have a very advanced social order. However, they did have rulers and those they ruled. They did not have distinct classes like Egypt did.
Answer it for me
The Assyrians never conquered Kush though they claimed they did. They conquered Egypt which was being ruled by Kush at the time but they did not conquer Kush and there is no evidence that reached as far south as Meroe The Romans only claimed to have got as far as Napata when they fought with Kush centuries later The only civilization that might have reached as far south into Kush as Meroe was the Persians
Yes, Kush was controlled by Egypt beginning in about 1520 BC. Egypt's control declined over the next 500 years, however.
Shabaka was a pharaoh in the 25th dynasty of Egypt. He ruled between 721 and 706 BC. Shabaka was from the kingdom of Kush, which ruled Egypt for about 100 years.
Queen Shanakhdakheto ruled Kush on her own.
The kingdom of Kush was located south of Egypt in present-day Sudan, and Axum was farther south in Ethiopia. The Kush kingdom ruled Egypt from around 727 BC to 653 BC. (see the related map link)
