John Adams said it....they were his dying words. Jefferson did not survive, he had actually died a few hours earlier. Adams meant that Jefferson was the last founding father to survive.
The abbreviation "Surv" after a person's name in property records typically stands for "Survivor." This designation indicates that the individual is a surviving spouse or heir associated with a property after the death of the previous owner. It is commonly used in legal and estate documents to clarify ownership rights in the context of inheritance.

He lived to be 84 years, old and died in his bed.The fable of Revere comes from a Longfellow poem written in 1861 and in reality he didn't ride through the night yelling about the British coming. Longfellow wrote his poem on the eve of the civil war to remind people of the nation's history. Somehow the poem became part of history and was put into history books as fact. Revere never finished the ride, his horse was taken away and he was held by a British patrol, but thanks to Longfellow we all know who he is. He billed Congress for the ride and the cost of the horse since it was taken from him and it didn't belong to him. It was borrowed from Rev. John Larkin and was named Brown Beauty. Larkin refers to it in his will. His one big contribution was the picture on a flier after the Boston Massacre showing colonist getting shot by the British. This was pure propaganda and was used to incite discontent between the colonist and the British troops.

The mere non-use of an easement (by its owner) is not generally a factor in whether it is lost; rather the DENIAL or prohibition of its use by someone else would trigger the statute of limitations to seek court interpretation of the respective rights of the claimants (i.e., they're "trespassing" on your easement if they put something permanent in the way). If it is a deeded easement, then the owner of the deed owns the easement. If it was obtained by prescription, then it continues to be owned by the adverse possessor. In any case, the easement is yours until it is "blocked" or "re-taken" by another claimant and you do nothing about it, or until you terminate, modify or convey it by agreement. For example, there are separate "mineral rights" on some of my land, which are deeded to someone else, with deeds that most recently date to the 1860s. Just because nobody has attempted to exercise those rights in 140 years does not prevent them from being used today or at any time until they are terminated by law or agreement. You should consult a local real estate attorney for interpretation of your local laws as may apply to your particular facts.
