"Light Horse" Henry Lee said it of George Washington at the latter's funeral.

Henry Lee had served under George Washington in the War for Independence.

Serving in the army must have run in the family because Henry Lee had a son that was able to get accepted into the United States Military Academy (West Point), and later become the General of the Army of Virginia. None other than Robert E. Lee!

As an interesting side note, Robert E. Lee married the adopted grand-daughter of Martha Custis - George Washington's wife!
