Well the only thing you can do is say sorry because at the end of the day it is up to them if they want to be friends with you again. You could say sorry and explain the reason for why he 'hates' you. And if you apologise and he doesn't forgive you and it goes on for a long time then you could say: 'I am very sorry for what happened, but I have said sorry and I would really like it to be your friend again, I hope you can understand that'. Hopefully he would and you could become friends again.
An apology can not include: if or but, and needs to say how things will be different specifically. yes.
