England adopts God save the queen for their national anthem however this is not correct as thsi is the national anthem for the UK. England officially has no nathional anthem and there is debate to what it should be. Possibly Jerusalem or Land of hope and Glory but for the answer we have none and have adopted the anthem of the UK

The pieces of music themselves are not copyrighted, they are in the public domain. However, a PERFORMANCE of the National Anthem may very well be copyrighted. You could use the TUNE of a National Anthem in a newly composed piece, but you could not use someone's arrangement of the National Anthem without their express, written permission.
I hope you mean the US national anthem. If it is, it was written by Francis Scott Key when he was on a british ship overseeing the batlle of Fort McHenry during the beginning of the Revolutionary War. When he wrote this, it was in the form of a poem and he sold it to a local newspaper for a relatively low amount of money and was later cirrculated accross the colonies where it was later given a tune and adopted as the national anthem.
