The only Prime Minister to have served this number of terms is Lord Liverpool, who was in office from June 1812 to April 1827.

His term in office saw the defeat of Napoleon in the Napoleonic Wars, American Independence from Britain, the notorious Peterloo Massacre of 1819 (when a large gathering of political demonstrators in St. Peter's Fields, Manchester were attacked by a cavalry charge, leaving 15 dead and 650 injured) and the Cato Street Conspiracy, an attempt to assassinate Liverpool and his Cabinet in retaliation.

Liverpool never saw out the whole of his fourth term of office, resigning due to ill-health and dying in 1828 at the age of 58.
