Are you talking about the song Oye by Jim Papoulis?

I'LL ASSUME "YES" AND HERE IS A SUGGESTION FOR ACCURATELY OBTAINING THEM:

Jim Papoulis is, w/o exaggeration, one of THE foremost choral composers on the planet. However, partly because a song like "Oye" is in a foreign language, it's harder to get lyrics from Google than it is with more "pop" songs.

By comparison, if you type exactly this into Google's search window:

beyonce + "single ladies" + lyrics

you'll get over 700,000 responses. Not so trying the same thing with "oye" + "jim papoulis" + lyrics.

I think the best way to "get" the lyrics and be 100% SURE they are accurate is to purchase the sheet music. If you visit YouTube.com and enter: oye + "jim papoulis" you will get some uploaded video performances. However, for a more "pure" sound, I'd suggest visiting a site like j.w. pepper where the "Oye" sheet music is sold:

http://www.jwpepper.com/3301378.item

on that site, you can ask for a sample LISTEN to "Oye" and the words are certainly clearer than on youtube. but, personally, I wouldn't trust my (or most people's) ability to transcribe lyrics that way.

Net/net: the site I've just listed -- plus a bunch of other that offer Jim Papoulis sheet music for sale -- THAT seems to me to be the only TRUSTWORTHY source of accurate lyrics for this song. Jim Papoulis would personally have reviewed and approved them.

Alright, since that person wasn't too good, I would like to add onto him a bit. However, I know very little of the song but I too would like to learn it. My young people's chorus sang it a year before I joined, and they often sing it to me.

"Oye, can you hear us coming, oye..." I may learn it at choir camp this summer, and if I do, I will update this answer. Thanks. Actually, the first persons answer is helpful. I sang this song in my junior choir for our last concert, and the lyrics are: Esta solo, llorando, en silencio, en la oscuridad Esta sonando, deseando, con esperanza, por la oportunidad Escuchalos, escuchalos, ellos te llman *chorus* Oye, are you listening, oye, can you hear us calling, (oye) we are calling to you Oye, are you listening, oye, can you hear us calling, (oye) can you hear us? *musical interlude* Escuchalos, miralos, escucha, lo que tartan de decir Estan en busquedad, del camino, pequenas voces, lamandote *chorus* -Here there is a section where three different parts sing in harmony. This repeats for a little while- 1) Oye, are you listening, oye, can you hear us? 2) I can hear you calling! I can hear you calling! 3) la, la la la la. La, la la la laaaaa -end of that section- Oye, oye, oye, oye, oye! *chorus* *repeat chorus on new pitch* Oye! Hope this helps! I do suggest purchasing the sheet music, though, because it is hard to figure out how to sing this just by knowing the lyrics!

HI -- IT'S ME AGAIN! Person #1.

I really appreciated Person #2's answer.

So now I'd like to identify myself.

My name is Mike Greenly and I am a lyricist partner of Jim Papoulis. (He has several.) I do NOT know most of Jim's choral works. But he and I have written three choral songs together -- two of which are already published. "How Many Christmases" and "We Can Plant a Forest."

With both of these songs, we share our royalties with non-profit charities. For example, from the "Forest" song, we've shared royalties for every download (iTunes) or sheet music purchase with Trees for the Future ... a wonderful, award-winning global organization that helps reforest planet earth. Jim's and my contributions have helped, already, to plant 20,000 trees in under-developed countries. (But many MILLIONS are needed.) We have a third song in the works which we expect to benefit a medical charity. Oh, and Jim and I have also written songs for Kimberly Davis -- the one already published is called "Get Up" ... it's a dance song, and it made it to #12 on BILLBOARD's Dance Club Chart.

Jim Papoulis is one of THE most talented people I have ever known in my life -- and yet he's a very humble, unassuming guy with a big heart. Songwriting is not my "day job" but it's my passion, and I loved coming across this question in the first place. Sorry for the wordy answer (again!) I couldn't help myself -- I loved the previous person's answer ... someone who knows "Oye" far, far better than I do.

Best wishes to all -- mike greenly
