∙ 14y agoNobody, except a few individual soldiers here and there, who preferred to try to be taken prisoner instead of being killed. D-Day was the US, British and Canadian invasion of France, so their ground troops could come to grips with the German Army. It took eleven months after D-Day before the Germans surrendered.
