For the slaves that were born into slavery, they thought that was just how life went. But that doesn't mean they didn't want to be free.
It was because the people of Africa were strong and beautiful. The traders saw them and thought they would be better slaves and easy labor to get. Some also believed that they were giving the black slaves a better life in a colonized world and giving them religion and a chance and "life". It is also said that some of the slave owners quoted, "Once a black man, always a black man. You can never lose a black slave."
yes but changed their belief n slavery if a black person were to marry a white person he or she would be sold in to slavery for life.
When humans thought it was ok to value the life of another. It is a very deep founded pshycological and social discussion, and slavery only works if one human being thinks their life is worth more than the other persons, and so their time can be 'stolen' for the benefit of another. It is accepted we should be paid for our work, and time. Slavery opposes this beleif. Still, there are other forms of slavery, such as spiritual slavery, where our entire life, and existence is measured by a salary, or how much we are paid per hour. It essentially sugests that conciousness can only survive and stay alive if a certain amount of effort is put into working to maintain food, houses etc. sorry...ranting abit
The person that thought slavery was an improvement over life in Africa was Governor George McDuffie. He also believed that slavery was the will of God.

More Africans were in America or captured and taken to America than in Africa.

Richard Nisbet has written: 'The source of virtue' 'The capacity of negroes for religious and moral improvement considered' -- subject(s): Conduct of life, Religious life, Slavery, Slaves
Capitalism has historically been intertwined with slavery, as enslaved labor was used to generate profits and wealth for capitalist societies. The exploitation of enslaved individuals provided a source of cheap labor that contributed to the economic development of capitalist systems. While the abolition of slavery occurred in many parts of the world, the legacies of slavery still persist in economic inequalities and social injustices within capitalist societies.
