The Final Civil War f the Roman Republic was between Octavian (later he was called Augustus) and Mark Antony. It ended in 30 BC with Octavian's Victory. Three year later (27 BC) Octavian became first emperor under the name of Augustus. This was 17 years after Julius Caesar's death.

∙ 13y agoAfter Caesar's death Marc Antony briefly took over Rome, as he was the only remaining consul. After some political turmoil the second triumvirate was formed and ruled until the last civil war when Octavian formed the principate.
