Voicemail courier, or more popularly called Guided Voicemail, is a business-to-business (B2B) voicemail marketing / B2B voice broadcasting method which uses a call center to navigate through recipient business phone systems and deliver a pre-recorded message to a specified individual at a company. The leading company in the industry is Voicelogic (www.voicelogic.com.) They've been around since 1995. Other imitators are available, but Voicelogic was the first to offer a service called Voicemail Courier.
The term Voicemail was coined by Televoice International (later became Voicemail International) for introduction of the first nationwide Voicemail® service in 1980.
