Australia's last Prime Minister was Julia Gillard.

As of 26 June 2013, the Prime Minister of Australia in 2013 is Kevin Rudd of the Australian Labor Party (ALP). A leadership challenge resulted in the removal of Australia's first female Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, who herself had been the victor in a leadership challenge which toppled Kevin Rudd from his position as former Prime Minister on 24 June 2010.
