Mary Magdalene was not just a follower of Christ, but was loved so much by him.
Mary Magdalene's role in the life and ministry of Jesus is not really clear cut. The theories range from follower to wife. From scripture we know she seemed to be in many of the same places as Jesus. She seemed to be someone Jesus trusted and respected. Contrary to Dan Brown's book, Jesus was not married to Mary or anybody else. The books of The Bible would not have skipped over such an important relationship. Jesus came to earth for one reason, the salvation of mankind. He was not here to pursue a career, marry and raise a family, or live to be an old man.
