He and two other men rode the horse to Lexington and Concord to warn the colonists that the British were coming to arrest Samuel Adam, and also to take away the colonist's war supplies. Paul Revere rode a horse to warn the colonists at midnight. When the British arrived, they were surprised because the Minutemen were already knew their secret plans.
