Perkin Warbeck (1474-1499) was a mysterious character who claimed to be the rightful king of England. He moved round Europe striking deals with various anti-English monarchs (France, Scotland , Ireland) and made several abortive attempts to overthrow Henry VII. Eventually he landed in Cornwall, formed a people's army of Cornishmen, and set off for London. He was captured by the king's men and imprisoned and then hanged in London.
