Clovis was king of the Franks. He first came to his throne at the age of 15 when he was king of his tribe, he later defeated all the other Frankish kings to become king over all the Franks. He led great battles against the Romans and had conquered most of the northern and western parts of Roman Gaul. He is known as the first king of the area that would become France.
