No, It doesn't appear that Eve had even been created at the time Adam was given the information about the Tree of Life(Genesis 2:15-17), but Eve made it clear that she KNEW the command, and understood what it meant (Genesis 3:1-3), so undoubtedly she learned it from Adam initially.

It's a very interesting question. Genesis 2:7 explains how did God create Adam, it says: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." As you can see, it explains that man was not given a soul but that he BECAME a soul when God gave him life.
