Both were unknown robbers, the robbers told Jesus to remember him when he goes to his kingdom.
When Jesus was on the cross, he was next to twothieves. One asked him that if when Jesus went to heaven after He died, that he would remember him. Jesus replied to him and said that that day he would be in paradise with him.
Jesus was in Paradise. Remember on the cross He turned to the thief on the right and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise. See Luke 23:43.
When christ said these words on the cross, we must remember that as Jesus carried the sins of the world at that time , god looked away from Jesus. As god is holy and pure there is no place for any sin to be there , so he had to look away from his son Jesus.
The cross is a symbol of Jesus, just like the flag is a symbol of a country. Because nobody knows what Jesus looked like, when we look at the cross we remember how Jesus hung on the cross, paid for our sins, died, then rose again. The cross itself has no special meaning aside from what Jesus gave to it.
He did and he said that he would die on the cross for our sins .
Apparently, he did. In his final moments of life, while suspended on the cross next to Jesus, he is reported to have said 'Truly you are the Son of God' - to which Jesus is said to have replied 'You shall be with me this day in heaven'. This was taken to mean Barabbas repented his sins.
Jesus said to the thief on the cross, "Truly, truly, I say unto you, today you will be with Me in paradise."
Jesus may have said, "Father, forgive me, for I have sinned".
I think since Jesus was known a lot that they can just remember it.
It would be more correct to say that Jesus died on a tree. He died on a cross.
only one said. jesus if you are savior, forgive me of my sins. jesus said, you are forgiven.
Lord Jesus said these words from the cross at Calvary.
