Answer 1
Every dam has its impact. Since the dam itself will create a 400 mile long reservoir it will most likely flood the area around it. This includes 13 cities, 140 towns, and 1350 villages. That's a lot of people. While 1.3 million people are forced to relocate, China currently has no plans of even removing any of those developed areas which will be flooded over. If this happens, then all the cities pollution, building material, waste, and other harmful things that don't belong in the water, will end up in the water. Also some residents have been forced to make way for the three gorges dam and have been denied resettlement funds. Many historical landmarks will also be submerged, and several species will become in danger of becoming extinct.
Answer 2

2. About one million people have to move 7.2 million people are affected.
3. The living environment of plants and animals will be damaged or in danger of extinction.
4. It's very expensive (around the equivalent of 50 billion US dollars)
5. Many historical sites will become flooded.
6. Many factories and mines will be flooded, poisoning the Yangtze river
Answer 3
The Three gorges Dam is bad because of there will be more floods, and jobs will be lost
Yes the 3 gorges dam should have been built: Here's why
Because it stops the water from flowing on to our houses. The purpose of the dam being built was to create electricity and water storage for a population that is migrating from a sustainable existence to a more western urban culture. As more Chinese give up farming they are moving into urban cities. Those cities need more electricity and water than the same number of people living a rural existence. They will also require more imported food since fewer people are farming.
One answer: dams disrupt the natural flow of rivers, which are normally cool (heat). Also, fish somtimes migrate up or down rivers and that would disrupt them. Many people can think of other reasons though.
not me.
First the Three Gorges Dam is way bigger and second the Three Gorges Dam is located on the Yangtze River. The Yangtze river is used for commercial shipping and the Colorado river is not used for shipping so the Three Gorges Dam has locks on the side for the passing of ships

Yes, the Three Gorges Dam may change over time due to factors such as aging infrastructure, sediment buildup in the reservoir, and potential maintenance or structural modifications. Environmental considerations and changes in water flow patterns could also impact the dam's operation and design in the future.
