William Stephens (born December 26, 1859 in Eaton, Ohio; died April 25, 1944 in Los Angeles, California) succeeded Hiram Johnson as the twenty-fourth Governor of California, serving between March 15, 1917 and January 8, 1923, including the whole of 1920.
