Davis Hanson Waite (born April 9, 1825 in Jamestown, New York; died November 29, 1901) succeeded John Long Routt as the eighth Governor of Colorado, serving between January 10, 1893 and January 8, 1895. Following the end of Waite's term as Governor, Albert Washington McIntyre (born January 15, 1853 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; died January 31, 1935) became the ninth Governor of Colorado, serving between January 8, 1895 and January 12, 1897.
