Ralph P. Lowe (born November 27, 1805 in Warren County, Ohio; died December 22, 1883 in Washington DC) succeeded James W. Grimes as the fourth Governor of Iowa, serving between January 13, 1858 and January 11, 1860, including the whole of 1859.
