Thomas A. Osborn (born October 26, 1836 in Crawford County, Pennsylvania; died February 4, 1898 in Meadville, Pennsylvania) succeeded James M. Harvey as the sixth Governor of Kansas, serving between January 13, 1873 and January 8, 1877. Following the end of Osborn's term as Governor, George T. Anthony (born June 9, 1824 in Mayfield, New York; died August 5, 1896 in Topeka, Kansas) became the seventh Governor of Kansas, serving betwen January 8, 1877 and January 13, 1879.
