Thomas W. Ligon (born May 10, 1810 in Farmville, Virginia; died January 12, 1881 in Ellicott City, Maryland) succeeded Enoch Louis Lowe as the thirtieth Governor of Maryland, serving between January 11, 1854 and January 13, 1858, including the whole of 1857.
