Andrew Parsons (born July 22, 1817 in Hoosick, New York; died June 6, 1855 in Corunna, Michigan) succeeded Robert McClelland as the tenth Governor of Michigan, serving between March 8, 1853 and January 3, 1855. Following the end of Parsons' term as Governor, Kinsley S. Bingham (born December 16, 1808 in Camillus, New York; died October 5, 1861 in Green Oak Township, Michigan) became the eleventh Governor of Michigan, serving between January 3, 1855 and January 5, 1859.
