Raila Amollo Odinga was the Prime Minister of Kenya in 2012. He is son of the late Jaramogi Oginga Ondinga. Raila Odinga became the second Prime Minister of Kenya on 2008 April 17, after running for president; the disputed results of the 2007 presidential election between incumbent president Mwai Kibaki and Odinga led to violence. Eventually, they agreed on a settlement to stop the violence, keeping Kibaki the president and making Odinga the Prime Minister, a position that had been abolished since 1964.
Kenya has not had a 3rd Prime Minister yet. The position of Prime Minister was reinstated on 2008 April 7 with Raila Odinga becoming the second ever Prime Minister of Kenya.
