The movie had a number of major stars of the day. The lead was skater Sonja Henie, along with John Payne and Milton Berle.
Today the film is most noted for being one of only two musicals to feature the original Glenn Miller Orchestra, including some tracks in an early form of stereo, as well as singer Dorothy Dandridge and gravity-defying dancing by the Nicholas Brothers.
Sadly, the racism of that era caused the latter 3 artists to be cut from early versions of the film because audiences were offended by seeing black and white performers in the same film.
